Job Description
Los Angeles-area employer has immediate opening for an experienced Senior Desktop Support Technician. Excellent technical knowledge of desktop hardware and software including Windows XP; position will be responsible for installing, configuring and imaging PC’s. Must be a self-starter with excellent hands-on troubleshooting experience with the ability to take independent action during the troubleshooting process. This position will collaborate with the Information Systems department staff to ensure efficient operation of desktops and wireless mobile devices. Must be capable of assessing the need for and implementing PC and All-In-One performance upgrades, including installing CPU’s, NIC cards, disk drives, RAM and CD-ROM’s etc. Ability to conduct research into PC issues and related products as required. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routers, hubs and familiarity with MS Office Suite, Active Directory and IBM Lotus Notes is a plus. Perform other duties as assigned within the IS department. Requires previous experience using remote desktop and tools to troubleshoot; ability to meet project due dates and timelines; A+ Certification is required. Must have a strong customer-service orientation.
