Sr. Director of Operations Support

 

New Breed Logistics is a third-party logistics service provider (3PL) that helps companies design and operate efficient supply chains. We manage millions of square feet of warehouse space across more than 50 distribution centers in the U.S. and employ more than 6,000 people in a union free environment.  Services range from distribution center operations and transportation management to highly sophisticated and technology-focused solutions involving product assembly, vendor managed inventory, reverse logistics and repair.

 

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sr. Director of Operations Support for our dynamic cellular phone reverse logistics and repair centers located in Ft. Worth, Texas and will report to the Sr. VP of Wireless and Repair.  The Senior Director of Operations Support will direct day-to-day teams and strategic activities in Planning and Reporting, Quality Assurance, Process Control, Engineering, Project Management, Inventory Management, and Procurement.

 

This high-energy position requires 10+ years of leadership and progressive career advancement with wide and diverse experience with high volume transactions with multiple shifts/multiple sites, and large numbers of employees.

General Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide work direction and prioritization to the team,
  • Provide professional development to team members
  • Provide oversight and guidance for project/program management activities
  • Approve schedules, budgets, plans, and approaches
  • Resolve scheduling issues between supporting entities (e.g., operations, IT teams, suppliers, clients)
  • Ensure procedures are developed consistent with client and ISO 9000 requirements
  • Audit all functions in accordance with support of company business practices and client procedures
  • Define, refine, and create customer support management processes
  • Define client support-related policies and procedures and monitors adherence
  • Ensure the execution of client management is consistent and per defined documented company policies. Support the expansion of our business based on current goals and strategies.
  • Must be able to ensure reporting quality and accuracy, and interpret Customer and Operational programs into measurable, reportable, and useful business information

  

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced with large business reporting activities, to include heavy Marketing, Operations analysis. Familiar with CRM, ERP, Balanced Scorecards, Strategy Maps, Dashboards, and robust reporting capabilities
  • Implementation and / or heavy use of best in class reporting tools (Cognos, Oracle, Fair Isaac, etc.)  
  • Demonstrated use of Predictive Modeling Software and Analytics â€" demonstration of Proactive decision making
  • Support experience with web-based applications, EXceed 4000, order management applications, LPS 2000, ConnectShip, ChainLink., i2s transportation suite, and Logility Voyager
  • Previous use of ERP systems, and integration to CRM and Cost management, etc.
  • Experience with financial management (cost accounting experience preferred)
  • Experienced in analyzing market / operations / financial data and present to C-Level and Customer
  • Project management of large cross functional implementations and proven use of formal project management practices
  • Expertise and experience in two or more of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, or distribution
  • BS/BA degree preferably in engineering or operations management required. Masters degree preferred
  • Successful history of managing multi-site and multi-state locations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive management.
  • Superior communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
