Senior Manager of North American Fleet for a Global Company

The Senior Manager of North America Fleet will be based in San Antonio, Texas and is responsible for the efficient management of the Company’s fleet of delivery vehicles and automobiles in the United States and Canada.  Excellent opportunity for career driven professional within growing, public Company.  It is a strategic role, reporting to the VP of Global Logistics.

• Develops and implements North American fleet strategy

• Works with US and Canada service operations to rationalize and optimize delivery vehicle fleet

• Works with sales to manage US and Canada sales automobile fleet

  Coordinates the activities of fleet coordinators.

• Manages and executes ongoing cost saving and efficiency initiatives.

• Ensures adherence to fleet policies and procedures in North America.

  Manages lease/buy decisions with Finance.

• Develops / implements training programs (i.e. driving safety)

• Travel is a requirement and is expected to be 10-20% of the time or whenever appropriate to the role responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Business or related field

• At least of 6 years of experience in fleet management with budgets in excess of $10MM and fleets of over 750 vehicles.

• Experience with MS Office applications operating systems to include Word, Excel, Office,

• Ability to manage change and influencing people across a multi-site organization with a matrix structure

• Demonstrated understanding of commercial vehicle markets and leasing

• Experience of negotiating and managing large contractual agreements for the delivery of  European vehicles

• Demonstrated ability to communicate at executive level and at an operational level.

• Must be willing to travel 10-20% of the time or whenever appropriate to role responsibilities.

• Ability to provide a pro-active internal support and service to end-users
