Job Description

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
Education Preferred: Graduate Degree

Technical Skills / Knowledge Required: Working knowledge in all phases of software lifecycle, excellent analytical skills

Subject Matter Expertise/Experience Required: Eight years of related experience and/or training in Analysis, Design and Development of Complex applications
Subject Matter Expertise/Experience Preferred: Ability to lead a development team, eight to twelve years related experience

Personal/Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline oriented work environment, ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously, ability to work as a team member, as well as independently, and able to travel.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Perform functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects
2. Perform technical analysis
3. Develop code for modules of small to large scope
4. Provide application support/troubleshoot a variety of problems
5. Perform/support user acceptance testing and unit testing
6. Participate in group discussions with peers or external groups
7. Work with external vendors, when necessary
8. Perform data modeling/database design work
9. Write concise and clear technical documents
10. Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

This position requires a variety of skills that will enable MAXIMUS to be proficient in developing sophisticated user interfaces and cutting edge functionality that will compliment our development team as follows:

Deep experience is required in the following fundamental skills: C#, MS-SQL 2005/2008, ASP.NET, Web services, MS SQL Server, ADO.NET
Additionally, the following skills are required for sophisticated UI design and implementation work: Web UI Design, ASP.NET, C#, Custom controls, Sophisticated Ajax, DHTML, DOM, Javascript, Telerik Controls

• Four years of architect / developer experience
• Must possess a high level of comfort to initiate and complete product enhancement projects
• Good time management and independent work skills are necessary for this position
• Knowledge of management applications in the educational market is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with clients and bring issues to resolution is required in this position

Additional Job Responsibilities:
• Implement multiple IT development projects to enhance the TIENET product
• Enhance Customized TIENET implementations for clients
• Consult with other support staff to provide a speedy resolution to customer problems when necessary
• Author development documentation
• Primary work is for the TIENET software development group at Eatontown, NJ
• Ability to travel

Expected Performance Goals:
• Have input to development roadmap
• Complete TIENET development including research, development, testing and documentation using best practices standards
