We are currently looking for an energetic and talented Senior Vice President of Sales with a dynamic track record in building profitable sales in the National wholesale to retail marketplace.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Vice President of Sales is responsible for maintaining the flow of profitable sales to the company. This executive will plan and execute all facets of Sales and Marketing growth strategies; customer development and supporting budget requirements in concert with the company’s business strategy.

- Establish and attain sales objectives. Forecasts and develops annual sales and price quotas for regions and customer bases; projects expected sales volumes and profits for existing and new products. Develops, directs and monitors the sales team structure and execution of sales strategies to meet objectives. Defines goals, sales strategies, schedules, and action assignments for targeted opportunities.
- Management of sales team
- Staffing/retention strategy; skill assessment and development of personnel
- Setting objectives/assigning responsibilities/tracking results
- Trade show strategy
- Rep/Dealer business management/analysis of how we set expectations, how we train, how we promote/reward success and how we analyze / assess results
- Business development: Identifying and enhancing customer breadth/depth and new business acquisition.
- Contributes to the development of new products/priorities and is responsible for the design and execution of maximum impact tactical marketing programs.
- Develops and maintains customer relations and is an active advocate for the customer.
- Understands and efficiently manages sales volumes within the planned growth ambitions of the organization’ and it’s capacity to produce consistent results for all customers.
- Collaborates / problem solves with other managers on subjects such as systems development; process improvement; customer management; new product introduction; and resource management (human and capital assets, inventories etc.)
- Defines and managers sales allowance strategy and allocations. Provides procedures and guidelines and tracks and reports cost/benefits.
- Studies the relationship of sales volume, product mix and selling price; supply / demand trends; economic indicators and competitor’s sales strategies, and applies this knowledge to enhance the company’s success/progress.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration or related fields/degree.
- 10+ years of strategic management level responsibility for wholesale consumer goods, selling in excess of $50 million with consistent profitability.
- Extensive experience selling soft goods/accessories to National Mass Merchants.
