Sr. Electrical Design Engineer

OPPORTUNITY: This is an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment that will excite any experienced hardware engineer. You should enjoy hands-on work during the course of development of products. We are looking for a hardware engineer who takes pride in his or her work and in “getting it right the first time". A customer-responsive industry where you can see your designs have an impact that often extends beyond the customer. The position requires technical knowledge of instrumentation and controls engineering to enable you to work with motor controls, communication networks, graphical interfaces, and some software. An overview of responsibilities and opportunities to contribute are:

Provide technical consultation, leadership, and direction of engineering research and development projects for a range of products. Design components will include motor controllers, embedded software, graphic interfaces, network communication, and instrumentation.

Investigate new technologies such as RF and WiFi and the feasibility for application in new products.

Facilitate a thorough and critical product evaluation process that exposes design problems and corrects them quickly while maintaining a constructive environment for feedback.
Job Requirements
BS in Electrical Engineering with approximately 10 years of hardware design experience. Previous work with embedded systems requiring innovative engineering input will be highly valued. Some software experience is desired also. Ideal current role is hands-on hardware design engineer within a small-to-medium size electronics manufacturer who relishes being in the industry spotlight and enjoys mentoring junior engineers.
