Job Description

Provide technical support for the acquisition of encryption/decryption devices for space-to-ground, ground-to-space, and satellite-to-satellite cross link data. Review contractor specifications, designs, test plans and procedures, and test results for accuracy and to ensure proper application of engineering principles. Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, program management reviews, and technical interchange meetings. Witness contractor testing and review and evaluate test data. Conduct special studies and analysis. Conduct engineering assessments/reviews of Requests for Proposal (RFPs). Evaluate Change Proposals (ECPs). Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk and supportability and effectiveness analysis for embedded software-intensive crypto systems. Perform and/or oversee system/product analysis for all project phases to include: requirements, concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation and maintenance.

Job Requirements

·         BS degree and 10 years experience; MS and 8 years experience; PhD and 4 years experience.

·         A secret clearance is required.

·         Travel of up to 1 week a month may be required.

          HIGHLY DESIRED:

·         Experience with DoD acquisition processes.  

·         Experience with NSA crypto equipment certification process. 

·         Knowledge and application of Communication Security (COMSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) techniques.

·         Crypto key management experience. 

          DESIRED 

·         Subject matter expert with software / hardware / equipment / devices employing software-intensive encryption algorithms for secure transmission of information (data, voice, etc).   

·         Experience with space COMSEC devices. Experience with spacecraft design, integration, or operations. 

·         Network systems experience.
