Job Details: - The staff Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, management, and counseling services to hospital clients with speech, language, cognitive communication and /or oral and pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments
. Plans, directs, and conducts habilitative, rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language, voice, articulation, fluency, interactive and cognitive communication, mastication, deglutition, auditory/visu
al processing and memory and assistive and/or augmentative communication treatments and devices. Periodically re-evaluates client to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planning. The SLP supervises treatment provided by
students, technicians, or speech therapist assistants and recommends client care interventions to other members of the health care team to contribute to the client's rehabilitation process. The SLP delegates and instructs supportive personnel in servic
es to be provided and performs other duties as requested by the manager.
