Job Responsibilities:
Provide analytical, quantitative, and financial cost modeling assistance in support of client profitability. Analyze/Interpret monthly client and product/program profitability reports. Assess for accuracy â€" communicate changes to increase accuracy Manage client profitability to targets and guidelines. Assess retail performance and recommend changes. Provide analytical support for clients when needed. Complete complex ad-hoc financial and consultative modeling. Attend client meetings as a member of the Account Management team. Support analytical, financial and quantitative discussions. Conduct in-depth financial and clinical analyses to identify and explain client specific utilization trends and recommend opportunities to help clients manage pharmacy program. Make plan design recommendations that are aligned with the client’s cost share philosophy. Recommend products and programs that are in the client’s, member’s and Medco’s financial and clinical interests. Partner with assigned CAE (Clinical Account Executive) to help support clinical initiatives with analyses. Understand all executed and/or proposed financial contract terms and how the terms relate to the client’s and Medco’s economics. Support sales with prospect analyses. Increase analytical efficiencies by learning and applying new technical skills. Approximately 10%-20% travel required (average one day per week to visit clients).
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
BS in Economics, Statistics, Finance or other quantitative area. MBA or other advanced degrees are preferred. Relevant analytical experience; Managed Care/Healthcare/Pharmaceutical experience preferred. Sr. FA: 4-7 Years experience Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Client experience and client presentation a plus. Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling. Very strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and experience working large, transactional databases. Advanced knowledge of Excel is important. Data management skills are important. SQL and SAS are a bonus but not an initial job requirement. Strong written/verbal communication skills. Self-starter; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated leadership skills.
