THE CHALLENGE
Sterling Engineering, Inc is assisting a premier client in their search for an experienced and talented Sr. Process Engineer. This position will be responsible for managing capital projects, administering corporate goals at the plant level, training/supervising technicians and engineers, and process improvement responsibilities for cost reductions, quality improvements, scrap/waste reduction, and improved product reliability.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
- Troubleshoots mechanical or electrical equipment issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve issues.
- Develops, writes, implements, submits and/or presents various technical reports or CARs in support of cost reduction, new product, reliability and safety initiatives.
- Supervises technicians and junior engineers.
- Manage medium to large capital projects and develops portions of AOP.
- Typically has technical responsibility for a group of departments or product line including the technical budget for same.
Job Requirements
PREFERRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS
- MUST HAVE BS in Engineering along with 5+ years of applicable Process improvement related experience in plastics converting, blown film, or extrusion.
- Solid communications skills, both written and verbal, required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
