Job Description
Work with the Food service R&D Team in support of the development of new food service products focusing primarily on syrups, smoothie mixes, concentrates and bases. Create new concepts and work with various technologies including sauces, beverage bases and dairy. Develop new products using internal and external resources to deliver products within time, taste, functionality, cost and regulatory expectations. Responsibilities will extend to defining specifications and standards for finished products and interaction with key customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a project portfolio Develop new products and applications Develop relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders Plan and document plant trials for the successful commercialization of new products Critically evaluate flavors and ingredients to develop great tasting products Provide technical support to other departments as needed. Manage the development process to ensure complete transparency and trace ability of work. Critically evaluate suppliers to determine the best and most cost effective ingredients REQUIREMENTS: + Candidate should have a bachelor’s (master’s preferred) degree in Food Science, or related field and take a hands on approach to the development process. + Experience developing food service products + At least 5 years of experience working cross functionally within R&D, QA, Marketing, Culinary and Production + 7 â€" 10 years application experience + Experience working with Foodservice accounts + Good knowledge of ingredient functionality + Experience taking new products from concept through to test and final implementation. + Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills. + Be able to travel 40% We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
