Our Client is building a new mobile experience for end-users involving email interfaces that has never been done before. They're in need of a strong Exchange Engineer who is knowledgeable in C# or another modern language; or a strong Java Developer with substantial experience with PIM data (any of the following: mail, contacts, calendaring, etc). This position involves creating email interfaces for mobile devices using WebDAV or EWS.

A well-funded stealth mode startup, is introducing a novel user experience platform for mobile devices. Our Client is on the leading edge of this wave to provide customers with a new and innovative mobile experience.

This is an estimated 60-90 day contract position through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Seattle, WA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Job Requirements

Required Skills for this Senior Software Developer position includes the following:

• In depth knowledge of Exchange 2003 and 2007, in particular Exchange WebDAV and Exchange Web Services (EWS).
  
• Development experience in a Linux environment.
  
• Excellent Shell scripting skills.
  
• Mobile platform development experience.
  
• Knowledge of IMAP/SMTP/MIME (email protocols).
  
• Solid understanding of data structures.
  
• Strong design and architecture skills, including an understanding of UML.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience programming in a Java services environment - object oriented environment background.
  
• Experience with databases and ORM tools is highly desired.
  
• Strong SQL and Hibernate background preferred.
