General Dynamics IT - Software Application Developer/Maintainer
Description:
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an opening for a senior software developer in the Information Systems Division at the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC), located at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, TX. This position will be part of a 23+ military-contractor team providing full-time support to the AFPC staff; it involves developing and maintaining AEF related client/server and web-based applications, as well as AEF databases and a data warehouse. Applications are hosted on both classified and unclassified networks and help automate deployment processes, the acquisition and maintenance of deployment and force data, as well as track and measure performance.
This particular position is 70/30 split of maintenance and new development respectively. A large Visual Basic 6 client application is being re-written as a .NET application, and a handful of ASP and ASP.NET applications require maintenance. The team is also in the process of re-writing all classic ASP applications to .NET and there a two new applications underway. The candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and will work closely with the users of the applications to resolve any daily operational issues.
Required Education:
B.S. Computer Information Science (CIS) or Engineering -- or related field.
Required Work Experience:
Special Skills:
� Min 4 years experience: Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, ASP, T-SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
� Experience with Visual Studio Team System & Team Foundation Server (TFS)
� Experience creating SQL Server stored procedures
� Familiarity with common web and Windows forms production and troubleshooting
Desired, but not required:
� Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
� Familiarity with WebFOCUS reporting tool
� Experience with WCF, WF, and WPF
� Experience with SharePoint
� Familiarity with Visual Basic 6
Other Desirable Requirements:
