Job Description
Our client, a global casualty and property insurance company with offices around the world, has an immediate opening for a state filing analyst at its downtown Manhattan office. This position is a long-term, temporary position.
The Role:
- Manage nationwide submission of admitted forms.
- Develop state filing strategies to ensure timely submission of new products,product changes or enhancements.
- Negotiate timely approval with state regulatory agencies while maintaining product competitiveness, preserving language uniformity, and limiting exposure to unintended risks.
- Respond to NY state objections in accordance with established time frames.
- Document unique product information in a format that is easy to use and access.
- Maintain approval records and reference libraries.
- Respond to inquiries from underwriters regarding product-related filing issues.
- Communicate state variations of standard product to the impacted business and systems areas.
- Provide management reports regarding the status of filing projects
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of High School diploma (further education preferred.)
- Minimum of two years of commercial lines experience in underwriting or rate, rule & form filings.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO forms.
- Must be a detail oriented and organized self-starter
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (WORD & Excel) and other PC applications.
- Also requires excellent math aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
