Job Description
Adecco Engineering & Technical has an immediate FULL - TIME DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a Stationary Engineer/ Manager at a large materials manufacturer in Cleveland, OH.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for overall operations of division equipment - boilers, generators, cooling and combustion systems
Make cost-effective changes to utility distributions
Troubleshot any mechanical or electrical systems
Inspection and monitoring of all equipment
Supervise 35 operators and technicians, including training and any paperwork associated for payroll, scheduling (personnel and work order)
Ensuring the safety of all personnel and making required safety contacts and all associated record keeping of safety programs and training
Promote a positive work environment - communication, safety, teamwork and education
Requirements
10+ of related experience with a thorough knowledge of steam, water, and air distribution plant operations and equipment
A.S. Degree in Engineering IS A PLUS!
Must have 3rd class Stationary Engineers License
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with MS Office and TabWare
Other
1st shift, but the ability to work on other shifts is considered a plus
Must be able to function in hot, noisy areas around rotating equipment and confined spaces, climbing and working from heights and possibly outside
Must be able to work around high voltage electrical systems; other risks include, but not limited to, working with high pressure steam, potential exposure to boiler water treatment chemicals, blast furnace gas, natural gas, fuel oil and asbestos
Pay is reflective of experience
No relocation assistance or per diem
