Project Accountant
This $multi million dollar industrial construction company is seeking someone to play a vital role in it’s project accounting group. The right candidate will have a thorough understanding of construction accounting . and will have 2+ years of related experience. This company has a track record of promoting from within and giving healthy raises.
Responsibilities of the Project Accountant:
Looking over contracts to determine between billable and non billable items. Analyze all related expenses in relation to the project. Reviews all commercial issuances from outside vendors to make sure that their viability between the projected and budgeted expenses of the project Updates progress on the project on a daily basis to ensure the accuracy of the recognized revenue Works with the receivables department and elicits all pertinent information for timely collection of Accounts Receivables balances. If there are issues with the Customer Balances the underlining reasons need to be extracted from the customer and clients in order to resolve the situation in a timely matter Project accountant will prepare weekly and monthly cash flow estimations for all upcoming and ongoing projects Cash flow statements will include DL, DM, and OH costs. Also all T&E expenses need to be forecasted. Look at aging schedules for all billings and any unbilled direct costs associated with the project. Financial Analysis will be completed by the project accountant on any anticipated expenses and the variability of the costs. Right applicant will be a strong Excel user Possess strong communication skills
Require Background: Industrial construction background Accounting experience in one of the following disciplines: Cost, project accounting, or FP&A industrial construction experience.
