1 Tech Engineering is seeking an experienced Substation Design Engineer for either extended contract or direct hire opportunities to join our fun team. We provide paid vacation, holidays, premier health and dental, short and long term disability to name a few.
The Substation Design Engineer is a position reporting to the Substation Team Leader. This position will be required to provide design, specifications and construction documents. The position requires a strong interest in power systems and design of electrical high voltage substations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Systems;
- EIT certification is preferred;
- Previous experience in electric power system design or construction is a plus;
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skills;
- Ability to coordinate the work of various engineering disciplines and contractors to complete an integrated project;
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
