Supervisor
Chromalloy Oklahoma, an aerospace manufacturing company, is currently seeking three first line supervisors for the Midwest City facility. Positions available on 1st shift, 2nd shift and 3rd shift.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a staff of skilled and non-skilled manufacturing employees.
- Mentor and train staff.
- Ensure staff is cross trained to meet production needs.
- Lead and direct staff’s daily priorities, assign and follow up on daily tasks, and monitoring quality and quantity of work to meet shipping schedules for the cell(s).
- Administer company manufacturing policies, schedule work hours, schedule vacations, and administer performance reviews for production personnel.
- Resolve performance/disciplinary issues with employees.
- Assist Manufacturing Manager in evaluating and monitoring production materials and tooling; ordering necessary gages, fixtures, castings, details, etc. to meet demand.
- Provide technical support (in areas of expertise) to product cells to implement new repairs and/or processes into production.
- Monitor repair processes and recommend changes/improvements to Manufacturing Manager and Engineers to reduce costs and improve profitability. Assist in implementing changes, as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance of equipment and facilities within the cell.
- Implement lean flow processing, balance work assignments based on volume/cycle-time analysis. Promote a Visual Management and dynamic flex-work assignment environment.
- Ability to document manufacturing processes (Examples: process capacity tables, standard work).
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2-year Associate degree, Bachelor degree preferred.
- One to three years previous supervisory experience, in an industrial environment.
- Minimum of 2-years experience in manufacturing, preferring welding, brazing, grinding, EDM and Heat Treatment process applications.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing training/certification, preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and leadership ability.
- Knowledge of aircraft components, machining, welding, inspection, and related disciplines, preferred.
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and other technical drawings, specifications, and/or work in-process documents.
