Job Description
Key Role: Provide leading-edge technical and thought-leadership to a government client in support of a burgeoning office that will determine how the Air Force (AF) addresses the supply chain risk management issue for information and communications technology products and service as a part of the President's agenda in the Comprehensive National Cyber Security Initiative (CNCI). Help determine changes in the acquisition, logistics, and sustainment support of the government uses for AF information assurance product management. Interface with the client to manage the life-cycle management process for information systems and implement security and business requirements into policy and procedure. Provide information assurance risk and security support to all product life-cycle functions, including appropriate acquisition documents, contract activities, and complete sustainment support. Support the DoD 5000.2 acquisition process by authoring or contributing to JCIDS documents, including ICDs, CDDs, and CPDs, system engineering plans, test evaluation master plans, risk management plans, and life-cycle management plans. Participate in integrated project teams designed to effect product security and information assurance, coordinate the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense oversight activities, author presentations and coordinate budget, planning, procurement, and depot sustainment management activities. Provide security engineering requirements and design for embedding information assurance into DoD and AF communications, cryptographic, and supporting processing systems and provide work leadership and mentorship to junior staff. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications: -Experience with DoD information assurance (IA), communications, IT, or commercial IT system development, depot, and sustainment activities -Experience with the development and implementation of security policies, information assurance strategies, or security architectures -Knowledge of DoD IA procedures, including DIACAP, systems engineering, risk management techniques, and policy development -TS/SCI clearance -BS or BA degree Additional Qualifications: -Experience in the IA field with National Security Systems -Experience with operating, designing, developing, or managing risk for DoD communications or computer systems -Ability to work effectively in a team, including with DoD Military personnel, civilians, and contractors -Ability to deliver presentations -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills -Possession of excellent interpersonal skills preferred -BS or BA degree in a technical field preferred -APDP Level I, II, III, PMP, CISSP, CISM, ISSEP, or CCNA/NP Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
