Job Description
Our client, in suburban Maryland, is currently seeking several Network Analysts to join their team. These will start out as contract positions. Opportunity to convert to a permanent position is highly likely.
As a Network Analyst you will report to the Corporate Director of Technical Services. You will be responsible for hardware and software installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance for workstations, servers, and other network peripheral devices.
Performs multiple system server administration and oversight. Support the installation, integration and testing of complex large-scale computer systems. Advise senior personnel on scheduled maintenance, conversions and cutovers.
Maintains appropriate information systems security and performs auditing functions. Audits and reviews Windows Event logs and escalates security-related issues as necessary. Monitors and maintains various systems including spam and email filtering, Internet blocking and filtering software, SUS services and, antivirus.
Recommend, implement and monitor server system activities to ensure secure operation all networks and attached systems

Job Requirements
B.S. in computer science or related field.
The successful candidate must have experience supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems, Cisco Routers, Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies.
Backup / Recovery of systems helpful.
Ability to install, configure, and maintain network servers and applications.
Ability to produce technical documentation and end-user training guides.
· Comprehensive knowledge of microcomputer equipment, software, and networks.
· Strong time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Detail-oriented.
· Strong working knowledge of networking equipment and protocols.
· Experience managing Active Directory, DNS, WINS, and TCP/IP protocols and manipulation tools. Experience managing and configuring enterprise-based storage and networking devices. Microsoft MCSE desired; CCNA preferred.
