Beacon currently has an opening for a Tapered Estimator & Design Specialist in our Cranston, RI location.
The duties of this position are to design and estimate tapered and metal roofing projects using various types of computer software. This includes assisting our sales team by communicating with contractors, architects, and manufacturers on a daily basis. Other responsibilities will include interpreting specifications and plans to create estimates of the various products we sell.
Job Requirements
Successful candidates must be:
- Detailed oriented with good organizational and communication skills
- Able to preform basic Microsoft windows functions with the ability to use various software including Database, Microsoft Windows & Outlook.
- Proficient and have 2 year experience with AutoCAD.
- Have a good understanding of architectural plans & specifications.
EDUCATION:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (AS or BS in architecture or construction engineering preferred)
- AutoCAD Certification
