Job Description

The role of the Technical Alliance Manager is to work in collaboration with ExactTarget’s existing and prospective integrated partners to brainstorm, scope, define, and implement new integrated solutions. By leveraging both ExactTarget and partner functionality together, the Technical Alliance Manager will be responsible for defining new solutions and then transferring knowledge to the ExactTarget Product Management, Product Marketing, Documentation, Client Services, and Solutions Consulting teams. This candidate will report to the Director of Integrated Partners.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain a deep level of understanding regarding ExactTarget and partner product functionality
• Engage with technical counterparts from partner organizations to collaborate on new integrated product offerings
• Configure product-to-product integrations using existing features and capabilities
• Provide input on business and technical requirements to the partner organization as well as ExactTarget’s Product Management team
• Transfer knowledge of the integrated solution to the ExactTarget Product Marketing, Documentation, Client Services, and Solutions Consulting teams
• Educate the partner organization’s technical representatives on ExactTarget functionality and capabilities
• Demonstrate integrated solutions at trade shows, prospect, client, and partner meetings
• Validate and certify that partner-built integrations are performing as desired
• Assist in initial Proof of Concept integrations with clients

Job Requirements

 Experience Desired:

• Technical Requirements

·            Understanding of Network Protocols and Services (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS)

·            Experience with web-based On-Demand software solutions

·            Familiarity with multi-tier, high availability application server environments

·            Familiarity with data architecture/schema

• Development Requirements

·            An understanding of Server Side Scripting techniques and applications

·            Sound understanding of RDBMS and PL/SQL

·            Experience leveraging WebServices/XML is preferred

• Design Experience

·            Demonstrated design skills

·            Use of Design/Development tools (Macromedia Studio) preferred

·            Demonstrated proficiency coding advanced HTML and Javascipt

• Industry Experience

·            Email and Interactive Marketing experience preferred

·            An understanding of Web Analytics (Webtrends, Coremetrics, Omniture), CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft CRM, Oracle CRM On Demand, SAP CRM On Demand), eCommerce (ATG, DemandWare, Fry), and Recommendations (Baynote, Certona, MyBuys) systems.

Location:

• ExactTarget’s Indianapolis Headquarters
• Additional remote locations considered, especially the west coast of the United States
• Periodic travel to visit with partners will be required
