Our client, located in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Technical Writer for an immediate contract position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* BS degree or equivalent
* 5+ years of technical writing experience
* Demonstrated ability to deliver results at the highest level of quality
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter able to work well in new and evolving environments
* Proven track record of being a strong team player
* Demonstrated initiative and analytical thinking style
* A positive and results-focused "can-do" attitude
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
* Detail and Results oriented

* 3+ years of experience with FrameMaker and RoboHelp

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client is looking for highly-skilled and motivated team player who wants to make a real difference and thrive to exceed customer expectations. Their development philosophy is to assemble development teams, consisting of individuals with strong skill sets and a team player attitude. As technical writer, you will be part of the development team and responsible for working daily and closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), analyzing the respective needs. You will deliver comprehensive, complete, and high-quality documentation for the Digital Pathology Scanner, including user manuals, online help, installation and administration guides, white papers, and design specifications. An ideal candidate will bring a creative personality, leadership, listening skills, strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, and be thorough and results-focused.

Essential Functions
* Study and analyze the needs of the target audience as well as conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter experts to understand the products and procedures.
* Design, write, create, maintain, and update technical documentation for customers, partners, and employees in support of our products.
* Work with cross-functional project SMEs to ensure that materials produced are effective for the intended audience
* Understand and follow quality system procedures applicable to the job.

* Experience with FDA regulatory and ISO standard procedures

DESIRED:
* Experience with any of the following technologies:
WebWorks Publisher, ePublisher, SnagIt, Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Paintshop Pro, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS SharePoint, Captivate, Camtasia, Talisma, RedDot, HTML, CSS, Flash
* Experience working on product development teams

* Experience working within the scientific or engineering field

*Both hardware and software documentation experience
