Position Summary
As a Transportation Sales Manager, you will work in our non-asset based side of the business. You will be responsible for finding new business, growing and maintaining current business with our customers, and securing profitable freight. You’ll assist in employee development and training within your branch. Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and provide 3rd party logistics solutions
- Initiate and maintain effective relationships with customers for branch growth
- Negotiate rates with customers to maximize profitability
- Oversee day to day operations, ensuring freight coverage
- Mentor and train staff to meet branch objectives
- Maintain contact with other J.B. Hunt divisions for daily outsourcing needs
- Other duties as required

- 4 year degree with 1-3 years cargo brokerage experience or…
- 3 years direct cargo brokerage experience
- Previous management experience preferred
- Excellent analytical skills
- Must be willing to be on call 24 hours a day
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
