As a Unit Manager you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Essential Responsibilities of a Unit Managerare:
Provide direct resident care in accordance with established plans
Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Techs
Act in the capacity as a Team Leader in a modified primary care setting
Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident
Provide supervision / counseling as needed to unit staffing
Assist in recruiting and hiring nursing staff
Job Requirements
Unit Manager Requirements:
Must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
Graduate / Completion of approved accredited school of nursing
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing administration
