This position requires a hands-on technical and experienced international treasury leader with the desire to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, ad hoc requests and staff, articulate FX and global treasury concepts and recommendations, evaluate and implement new strategies, negotiate on behalf of ACS to minimize risk and maximize dollar saving opportunities is essential. Position reports to the Treasurer and SVP of Tax and Treasury.
Representative duties and responsibilities
Lead the corporate headquarters international treasury function for the ACS enterprise, including strategy, FX Risk management, FX purchasing, international bank relationships, cash/debt balances, cash forecasting and funding, and department improvement efforts, including the following:
International Foreign exchange operations, controls, and risk management
Conduct regular reviews of business unit operations to understand FX needs, identify and quantify FX exposures and risks Evaluate and recommend risk mitigation plans and policies, utilizing a thorough understanding of the financial statement accounting treatment of foreign operating activity and risk management strategies Implement risk management activities according to determined company directions Ensure professional purchasing of FX Ensure appropriate controls are created and maintained for operations and risk management techniques Ensure documentation is generated and maintained for appropriate FAS 133 outcome Generate appropriate management and financial statement reporting Analyze monthly exchange gains and losses generated by business units Manage FX counterparty risk with financial institutions Monitor the political and economical status of ACS emerging market locations and provide informed guidance on applicable implications for currency movements
International cash management
Global cash management to manage and improve net interest expense (in-house bank, pooling) Supervise the international cash forecasting system Evaluate and pursue best practices for funding needs Provide guidance on acceptable investment instruments and financial institutions Ensure appropriate bank accounts and relationships to manage business needs Determining optimal cash balance locations
Manage international inter-company loan portfolio, coordinating with tax and European treasury personnel Develop and communicate global cash management polices and procedures Lead international acquisition due diligence and integration related activities Work with ACS international tax personnel on structure for capital funding, movement of cash among the group, and dividend or other repatriation strategies
Manage staff associated with these functions Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
10 + years relevant, progressive finance/treasury experience 5+ years international treasury experience with large multi-national companies MBA degree or equivalent Significant hands on experience in FX currency risk management, FX hedging, capital funding, and foreign cash management Comprehensive knowledge of FAS 52 and FAS 133 accounting rules and procedures Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated management experience Experience evaluating and implementing new programs or systems Strong oral and written communication skills Strong emphasis on effective and efficient project management
Education and Years Experience :
Advanced degree required
