Title : VP Sr. Lender - Commercial Real Estate Special Assets Admin.

Location : Cleveland, OH

This position is responsible for the portfolio of troubled and/or distressed commercial, industrial, and commercial real estate credits. The primary duties of this position include developing and implementing credit administration strategies that minimize the bank's potential loss on each assigned credit. This position requires thorough knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and commercial collections strategies with borrowers. This position works closely with bank management, lending staff and legal counsel to protect the bank's interests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Manage portfolio of the adversely graded commercial real estate loans in order to minimize the loss exposure. Minimize the loss exposure in adversely graded commercial real estate lending relationships by understanding the collateral, documentation and industry trends and obtaining improvements in the collateral package, correcting or improving documentation or structural weaknesses and provide strategic direction designed to maximize the collection of principal and interest in a timely fashion. Review and understand strategies to exit or upgrade loan relationships, including bankruptcy, capital structures, collateral valuation and liquidation strategies. Provides overview and direction on critical issues or strategies to junior special asset administrators as needed. Handles a significant size portfolio of direct assigned accounts of the most complex relationships. Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Position scope would include responsibility for assigned defaulted loan expense budget. Responsibility to manage all legal, ORE income and expenses. Manages the larger zero balance charge offs to collect. Maximize the recovery of principal & interest. Manage defaulted loan expenses and OREOA along with charge off loans. Meets with customers frequently to identify issues, develop appropriate strategies and follow up on progress or promised action.

Job Requirements

1) Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or finance
2) Three to Five years of commercial real estate lending and workout experience; c&i experience prefer
3) Broad application of loan workout principles, theories, plus extensive knowledge of other related field and knowledge of commercial credit policy and commercial credit underwriting
4) Advanced knowledge of bankruptcy laws, asset securitizations and default derivative
5) Thorough understanding of loan documentation criteria and business objectives for the commercial real estate dept.
6) Excellent communication, management, analytical and interpersonal skills - including negotiation skills
7) Solid knowledge of commercial real estate lending policies and procedures - including knowledge of bank operations and credit functions
8) Proven organizational and public relations skills
9) Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and tax analysis software
10)  Ability to analytically problem solve, analyze complex situations and understand complex corporate financial statements.
