Position Description:
The Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Wealth Advisory Consultants (WAC’s) are responsible for driving the further adoption of a wealth advisory practice among FA’s. The WAC helps FA’s build their competency and practice management skills to expand the range of services and solutions FA’s provide to their clients. WAC’s help FA’s strengthen their discovery skills to better understand a clients needs. WAC’s also serve as a ‘subject matter expert’ in key areas of wealth management planning and analysis and coach FA’s in those topics.
The WAC serves as the lead advocate for wealth advisory practices within their region working closely with the regional management team, planning center teams, branch offices and other partners.

Skills Required:
WAC should have an expertise in wealth advisory services for the high net worth client.
A minimum of 2 years experience advising individuals on key wealth advisory and planning issues required.
Demonstrated ability to deliver an enhanced experience for the high net worth client required.
Prior experience in the full service investment business or related business delivering these services required.
Must have CFP or other similar designation.
Bachelors degree required or equivalent education and experience; Advanced degree a plus.
Excellent communication and speaking skills required.
Ability to work independently required.
Must be able to perform in results oriented culture.
Ability to build rapport with Financial Advisors and clients is essential.
Extensive travel within Region.
Excellent follow-up skills needed.
