We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Web Developer / Copywriter to join our dynamic Marketing team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who is committed to excellence, success and a bit of sass.

WEB DEVELOPER / COPYWRITER

In order to qualify for this position, you must be an energetic self-starter, well versed in online marketing, including email, social media and content-based marketing.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

Individual plays an integral role in our internet marketing efforts.  Responsible for capturing the brand voice in interactive marketing materials including copy, email, banner ads and social media pages.    

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Produce concise, clear copy that communicates our marketing message to strengthen our relationship with our current customers and build relationships with new customers.

Understand and be familiar with best practices for web-based writing and content presentation.  Understand the special ideas and styles that appeal to our target market - must be versed in pop culture & teen market trends.

Create and deliver targeted marketing campaigns and materials, including social media pages, banner advertising and outbound email marketing communications that grab the attention of our customer. 

Ensure all sites and profiles are kept fresh and current.  Implement updates of all outside sites/profiles that require technical skill to post updates.  (MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, MyYearbook, Twitter, Hi5, etc)

Track and analyze results of marketing efforts and propose improvements based on data findings.

Spearhead the design, creation, production and follow up of the marketing design of our Mandee and Annie sez websites.  Make suggestions on improving website’s functionality.  Develop and implement strategies to increase customer visits.

Assist with related projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, related discipline or equivalent field experience.

Previous Marketing/Advertising background with at least 3 years experience in the internet, retail and/or e-commerce environment. 

Outstanding writing, editing, creative and analytical skills.

Fluency in HTML, CSS, blogging platforms and social medial tools.

Previous exp. writing for all mediums and designing for social media sites including but not limited to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, MyYearbook Hi5, etc.

Knowledge of SEO techniques with previous experience developing and implementing SEO strategies, as well as providing link building services.

Keep current with new design programs, technologies and online/digital trends.

Expert level computer proficiency – (Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite) is necessary and required.
