The end of the year is finally coming to a close, but before the New Year’s countdown to 2008, some of you may be wondering about the stock market schedule.  The stock market schedule for the last days of 2008 and the stock market schedule for the upcoming year of 2009 follows all of the federal holidays, except for Veteran’s Day.  Remember that while you are busy preparing for New Year’s parties or heading off to see the Times Square Ball, securities brokers and traders are still hard at work on New Year’s Eve.  Thankfully, investors will get some rest on the first day of the year when the stock market is closed on New Years Day.  Here is the 2009 stock market schedule for the New Year: Read the rest of this entry »
