Careers of some of the most accomplished Rhodes Scholars

The Rhodes scholarship is an international fellowship that grants each recipient two years of study at the University of Oxford.  Since 1904, thirty-two American Rhodes scholars are chosen each year.  The application deadline to become a 2009 Rhodes scholar is in October and the Rhodes scholar winners are announced in November.  In anticipation of the 2009 Rhodes scholar winners, it is interesting to take a look at some of the most common professions of previous American Rhodes scholars.  Many Rhodes scholars have successful careers in fields such as the arts, athletics, business, communications, education, government and politics, law and science.  These famous men and women are the best of the best — if you have dreams of following in their footsteps, you may want to look at some of the jobs available in these career fields as well.
