Even though Christmas is a widely celebrated holiday in the United States, this does not mean that the whole country shuts down. There are still a few stores open on Christmas, as well as some restaurants open on Christmas. For those of you who do not celebrate Christmas, you may be interested in working at one of these stores or restaurants — the time-and-a-half holiday pay is a huge perk of working at stores open on Christmas. Here is a list of restaurants and stores that may be open on Christmas. Keep in mind that the stores open on Christmas will vary by location. For example, a Starbucks or grocery store may be closed in your town but open in the next town over. Before heading out in the snowy weather for last minute shopping or to grab a bite to eat, it is best to call these stores ahead of time to make sure they are open and check on any special holiday hours.
