March is here and that means one thing for college basketball — the NCAA Tournament. Crossing your fingers in hopes that your team makes it to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament could very well be one of the most intense and exciting moments of the month (hence the title “March Madness.”) The NCAA Tournament has come a long way since Oregon’s defeat of Ohio State in 1939. The tournament now consists of 64 college basketball teams, as seen in the 2008 NCAA brackets, while the 1939 NCAA brackets show that only eight teams competed in the NCAA Tournament. Read the rest of this entry »
